MEETING MINUTES/OCTOBER 13, 2009

 

Call to Order:         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

 

Guests:                     George Akers – 98” Silver C5.  George (wife Hetty) joined club

Minutes:                   Motion made, and seconded to approve the Sept. 8, 2009 minutes.

 

Treasurer:               No report 

 

Secretary:               No Report, Kathy Reese out sick.  Barbara Rogers took minutes. 

 

Clothing:                  No Report

 

Webmaster:            Pete Ruff, nothing to report.

 

Raffle Organizers:    Patty McCoy & Bob Graham, nothing to report.

 

Club Historian:          No Report

 

Old Business:         Bowling Green Caravan hosted by Carla Grube – George G. reported on caravan.  150 cars left Sparks on 8/30/09 – arrived in Bowling Green on 9/3/09.  Thousands of Corvettes – Museum and factory were the highlights of the trip.  George recommended this trip to all. 

 

                             Ice House Run hosted by Bob Naylor – Susan Svilich reported it was great time, especially the trip up to Big Hill.

 

                             Lotus BBQ hosted by George Goolsby – John Reese thanked George for putting on this event.  Great food, great time had by all.

 

                             Show & Shine hosted by Tom Krakker – Pete Ruff reported only five cars from club participated.  Weather was great.  More club participation for next year urged.

 

                             Jets & Vettes hosted by Carla Grube – George G. gave report. A total of 4 cars participated on this run to the US Hornet Museum in Alameda CA.  The trip was very impressive.

                            

 

New Business:     Fall Colors hosted by Peggy Sue Croswhite – The run is still on unless the weather turns bad.  Peggy Sue to send out email on 10/16/09 for final count of people going.

 

                             Crab Shack Dinner in Old Sac hosted by George Goolsby   Email will be sent out closer Nov. 14th date.

 

                             Placerville Christmas Parade hosted by George Goolsby – Email will be sent out closer to Dec. 6th event date. 

 

 

                             Christmas Party – Vickie Braithwaite reported they are still looking for volunteers to help decorate hall.  Everything is in place, hall, band, food.

Floor Open to Members:         Bob Graham thinks that CPCC has been a club for 20 years.  John Reese to research this.

 

                             John Reese reported that we have lots of CPCC business cards if anyone needs some.

 

                             Vicki Braithwaite would like to have 2010 Event Planning Meeting at her house on 1/23/10.  This will be a potluck.  More info later.

 

                             John Reese reminded members that if they move, change phone numbers or email, to update this info with the Treasurer for the club roster.

 

                             Will Gilliand  reported that in Sept. 2010 the Utah Salt Flats Association hosts a 130/150 mph event if anyone is interested, contact Will.
