Call to Order:                         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by Phil Slack, Club President

OLD BUSINESS

 

Minutes:                                 Motion to approve the Sept. 13, 2005 meeting minutes was seconded and approved.

 

 

Treasurer’s Report:              Report given by Jim Poe.  $68.00 was deposited from last month’s 50/50 raffle, one new membership of $30.00, reimbursement check was written to John Reese in the amount of $118.52 for the club Easy-up Shade.  The ending balance is $4,119.82.  

 

Secretary:                               Shannon Anderson – nothing to report.

 

Clothing:                                 Report given by Vicki Braithwaite – The new vendor is shrinking the big logo for the back of the jacket.  Some orders may be delayed, but they should be ready next week.

 

Web Master:                          Pete Ruff – nothing to report, Pete’s just sporting a new haircut.

 

                                                Bob Niemi asked if the club roster could be sent via email out to club members.  Pete will send the roster out, if you don’t have Excel, you will need to download a viewer.

 

Club Historian:                       Keith Becky – nothing to report for club history, however, Keith suggested the Easy-up should go to whoever has the banner

Keith currently has the Easy up.  This issue needs to be worked out.

 

 

 

Sept. 15-18:                             37th Annual Lake Tahoe Tour

There was a good turnout for this event.  The car show was on Saturday.  This might be an event for every other year.  Those attending this year may pass next year.

 

Sept. 18:                                  Corvette Spectacular, Main Street Los Altos – No attendance.

 

Oct. 1:                                     Show & Shine/Fly-In, Cameron Park Airpark.  10 cars participated in this event.  Jim Poe won Road Warrior/Stud Muffins of the 90’s.  Jim’s friend brought his ’74 Pantera and won multiple awards some of which were:  People’s Choice, Best Motor, Best Spoiler, Pass & Gas and others.  There were about 220 total participating.  The weather was perfect.  $450 went to the winner of the 50/50 raffle.

 

Oct. 8:                                     Day Run to Hope Valley.  George Goolsby report 8 cars went on the run.  The fall colors were beautiful.  The group picked up a car on the way and had lunch at Sorenson’s, then went on to Genoa for dessert (ice cream).

 

 

Oct. 9:                                     Day Run to Ice House.  Bob Naylor reported 5 cars went on the run.  They drove Marshall Grade to Georgetown & down Wentworth Springs Road.  They pushed it pretty good.  Even the motorcycles had to get out of their way.  Joe Ryan led the group to a heliport site.  Lunch was at the bar at Ice House Resort.

Oct. 29, 2005                          First Annual Debbie Amaral Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser.  7:00 Pm to Midnight Pre-Halloween Dance Party.  This will be at the Lion’s Hall on Missouri Flat Road.  If you want tickets call or email Barbara Collier.

 

 

Dec. 3, 2005                           Toy Run at Arco Arena.  Meet at 9:00 am.  There will be coffee & donuts in the morning and lunch is provided.  Bring $5, an unwrapped toy and non-perishable food items.  For more information see the flyer on the club website.

 

Dec. 4, 2005                           Christmas Parade in Placerville.  This is a Saturday.

 

December 10, 2005                CPCC Christmas Party -  (Davis/Hudgins/Groat) 40 are signed up so far.  The cost is lower this year $20 per couple for members.  If you plan on attending, see Jim & Sylma Davis.  There is a list being routed for preferred beverages.  The flyer will be sent via email to club members.  Jim requested $750 in club funds to be able to purchase the drinks and raffle prizes for the party.  Motion was made, seconded and approved to grant the funds.  A flyer has been developed to collect raffle prizes.  See Dan Groat if you would like a flyer.  There has already been a donation of a 1 week stay in a House on Kona, this is 7 nights for 2 guests, additional guests are $25.00 per person.  The house is one thousand feet above the ocean.

 

 

FLOOR OPEN TO MEMBERS

 

Garage Sale:                          Dick Collier has a friend in Cameron Park Estates that is moving and having a Garage Sale.  There is lots of car memorabilia, antiques, etc…  This is Saturday, October 15-16; the flyer will be posted on the web.

 

Laguna Seca                           John Reese reported that Laguna Seca, Monterey will be having a C5 Lemans this weekend.

 

Mystery Run                          George Goolsby will be putting together a mystery run soon.  He will be the only person who knows where run will be.  More information to follow.
