CAMERON PARK CORVETTE CLUB Meeting Minutes / Call to Order: The meeting was called

Svilich. OLD BUSINESS Minutes: Motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report: Report given by Jim
Poe: Deposits=$77.00 from last month’s
50/50, new memberships totaling $60.
Ending account balance=$4,790.20 A motion was made,
seconded and approved to pay $108.00 deposit for Secretary: Shannon
Anderson – With so many new members it is becoming more difficult to make
sure all names are captured for the minutes.
If your name is missed in the minutes, please email Occasionally,
there are situations that occur with members (deaths, illnesses, etc…) and we
would like to send flowers. Could we
give the President and Treasurer power to approve this expenditure for
members without having to bring it to the club meeting? Motion made, seconded and approved. Clothing: Anne Jones – Anne’s
having problems with the clothing vendor – he is consistently
inconsistent. The quality of his work
is good, but he is very hard to work with.
Anne will check into using another vendor and report back. The cost for a set up fee could range
between $180 and $200. Webmaster: Not present to report.
Pete’s on vacation. Historian: Not present to report Dunce Cap Award: More discussion around
whether we should continue with this. There
has been several members’ state they won’t be caught dead wearing the
hat. Motion made, seconded and
approved to abolish the Dunce Cap Award. Folding Chairs: George reported the
following cost to purchase folding chairs:
$35.00 for package of 4 plain metal chairs, $17.00 each for padded
metal chairs, $18.00 each for plastic stacking chairs, $22.00 each for padded
plastic stacking chairs. Motion was
made, seconded and approved to not pursue chairs. If we move from our current location then
we would need to store them. August 25-26, 2006 Overnight Run – Mendocino, CA– (Barbara Collier) Barbara was not present to report. Vicki reported this had great attendance
15-16 cars. It was a great time! Sept. 4, 2006: Labor Day Parade,
Diamond Springs – (George Goolsby) This was missed on the
events list. 3-4 days before the
Parade, George was contacted and sent out a communication to members. About 10 cars showed up. The crowd was smaller this year. No attendance About 18 cars
attended. We drove NEW BUSINESS Vice President, Events Coordinator: George Goolsby Sept. 14-16, 2006: The Sunday Funnies Past
& Present, 38th Annual Tahoe Tour, Corvettes of October 7, 2006: Annual Show &
Shine/Fly-In at Cameron Park Airpark, CA – (Phil & Shaylynne
Slack)
– Registration forms are on the web – deadline for preregistration
is 9/15 – you can save $5.00. This is
always a great event and this year it does not compete with Serrano. Bring coolers and lunch because the food
isn’t great. We’ll meet up at Kentucky
Fried Chicken on October 28, 2006: Chrome Bumper Corvette Show,
Folsom, CA – (No Host) This is at Red Robin in Folsom for ’53 – ’73 Vettes only. The Leddington’s volunteered to host this if their car is
running. December 9, 2006: Annual CPCC Christmas Party
(Barbara Rodgers, George Goolsby, Shaylynne Slack, Keith Becky, Rick & Karen Samoian) – Shaylynne reported that Rick is contacting Jeff Nickles to check on the gift certificates, no more
information on that yet. We are using
the same caterer as last year and she is charging $35.00 per person. The band is reserved. A check for the caterer and the band will
be due that night. The alcohol last
year was given away after the party.
Harland and Sylma will donate some
bottles. Shaylynne
will get a sign up sheet to get drink requests. Motion was made, seconded and approved to
designate $450 for raffle prizes and $300 for alcohol. We need a bar tender, last year we paid the
bar tender $100 - $150 plus tips. Dana
talked with someone at the Blacksheep that may be
interested. FLOOR OPEN TO MEMBERS New Events/Runs George Goolsby asked if there was
interest in doing a Hope Valley Run with lunch at Sorenson’s. The Hinz’ will
put together a run up that way with a Sunday Brunch at Kit Carson’s
Lodge. This will be October 8th. Cheryl Leddington
– Would like to have a BBQ at her house in Adjournment: Motion was made, seconded
and approved to adjourn the meeting. RAFFLE 50/50: $105 goes to club and
$105 to the winner Paul & Barbara Hudgins. Harland brought in 10 travel mugs as a
thank you from the Sherriff’s Memorial Run –
