Call to Order:                    The meeting was called to order at 7.00 by Club

Minutes:                            Motion made, and seconded to approve August 14th, 2007, meeting minutes.

                                   

Treasurer’s Report:          Jim Poe- Started with $3458.69.  Total 50/50 raffle deposit was $108.00 With an ending balance of $3566.69.

Clothing:                           Anne Jones – Not Present -2 Catalogs are available for anyone interested in ordering clothing.                           

 

Webmaster:                      Pete Ruff – We have 2 new cars posted on the web site John & Patty McCoys 2007- Z06 and Brian McCarrahers 1995 black convertible.

August 17-19th2007:   Monterey Historic Races – (Larry & Margo Savio)

                                      This was a fun event – We attended the Pacific Grove

                                     Rally on Friday and Attended the Historic races on

                                     Saturday. There were lots of great cars in the car shows.

 

 

August 18st, 2007        Black Hawk Museum-(Dan & Laura Groat) We had 8 

                                    Cars at this event. We met at the Groats for a wonderful

                                    Continental breakfast. We saw lots of nice cars at the

                                    Museum and stopped at Albertos Cantina for lunch before

                                    Heading home at top speed.     

 

 

August 18th, 2007:    Hot August Nights Rescue-(Tom Krakker)

                                         No one from the club attended this event this year.

J July 26th-29th 2007       Vettes on the Rockies (John & Cathy Reese) We had a very good time with beautiful scenery. The trip was rough starting out with all the rain storms. We cruised thru historical towns on the way to Copper Mountain. This is a big Corvette event.  There were Corvette representatives from Bowling Green, Ky with information and updates on the new 2008 corvettes.

S September 15th-16th, 2007: McCloud Sunset Dinner Train Ride- McCloud, Ca (Skip & Carla Grube- George Goolsby) A Nostalgic three hour train ride with a four course dinner. Accommodations are available, see web page for more information and telephone numbers for this event. Email George Goolsby if you are interested in attending. So far there are 6 cars from the club that are attending.

 

September 28-29, 2007: Summer End Gathering-All Corvettes. See event flyer

Posted on web page. There will be covered parking available and there is 100 rooms blocked off for this event and rooms are still available.    

 

         

September 29, 2007:      Annual Show & Shine- Cameron Park (Tom Krakker) Car, Airplane, & Motorcycle show. We will meet at KFC in Cameron Park at 7 am. Pre-registration is strongly urged. This event is open to all year cars American & Foreign. 

 

  October, 5-7, 2007:        Mendocino Little River Run-(Clemens & Colliers) – We have 15 rooms booked and 15 cars attending this event. We will leave Friday @ 8.00 and stop in Hillsburg for lunch before continuing on to Little River. Saturday we will have a run to the redwoods and wine tasting. On Sunday dinner at Ft Bragg before we head for home.

 

  October 13-14th, 2007: Markleeville Fall Leaves Run- (George Goolsby-Jack Anderson) – We will meet a Longs Drug on Green Valley road  stopping at Stumpy Meadows for photos then heading to Loon lake for lunch. We will spend the night in Markleeville. See event flyer posted on web page. This is a beautiful run where you can see shadows of mountains and colors of changing leaves.   October 26th, 2007          MSI/Hooked on Driving Thunderhill Track Day-(Larry Savio) MSI has joined as an event sponsor this year.  More details can be found on the Corvette Forum.

 

  

December 2, 2007:           Placerville Christmas Parade-(No Club Host) Details as they become available.

 

 

 

December 8, 2007:         Annual CPCC Christmas Party- (Barbara Collier) – Keith Becky will cook for the club at the Christmas party. More details to follow.

                                      FLOOR OPEN TO MEMBERS           

 

              

N New Events/Runs          Carnival Cruise -We have moved the date for the Carnival Cruise to February 26th 2009 instead of Feb 2008. If you plan on going you need to make your reservations early. They are totally refundable up until the final payment due date. Balcony Suites are now $756.14 per person, including all taxes, and a deposit of $300.00 per cabin is required. Ocean view cabins are $446.15 with the same deposit. Please contact Sandi Moore at 209 245-4125 Or Merrilee Doss for more information.

S                                        September 15th 2007- Car Show – The El Dorado Community Center is having a car show. If you need any information please contact the bartender Mike Spigel at Poor Reds restaurant in El Dorado.

 

                                          Alaskan Cruise May 30th 2008- The Corvette Museum is hosting this event. See ncmcruz.com for more information.

                                         Business Cards- Club voted to reimburse George Goolsby for the business cards he had made. Business cards were then passed around to club members free of charge.
