MEETING MINUTES/SEPTEMBER 9, 2008

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President Dana Jones.

Minutes: Motion made, and seconded to approve the August 2008 minutes.

Treasurer’s Report: Jim Poe reported that the balance in the account is $2892.98

Secretary: Kathy Reese filled in for Secty Margo Savio.

Clothing: Looking for someone to take Anne Jones place to be in charge of clothing.

Webmaster: Nothing to report.

Old Business:

· August 17, 2008 Moaning Caves Run hosted by Mike & Barbara Jackson. Had a great lunch at the Greenhorn Golfcourse in Angels Camp then proceeded to Moaning Caves. Eight cars.

· August 15-17, 2008 Monterey Historic Races were attended by Larry & Margo Savio. There were 362 historic cars. The weather was beautiful but cold. Will Gilliland attended as a track volunteer.

New Business: (if no host will not be discussed)

· September 20, 2008 Cameron Park Airshow hosted by Tom Krakker. There also will be antique fighter planes. Joe Ryan is working at this event. Check website for further details.

· September 28, 2008 Big Trees Run hosted by George Goolsby & Barbara Rogers. So far 16-17 cars have signed up. $5.00 per car for lunch but remember to bring your own drinks. Check website for further details.

· October 3-4, 2008 Rocky’s Summer End Run, Sparks, NV hosted by George Goolsby & Barbara Rogers. Check website for further details.

· October 11-13, 2008 Autumn Leaves Markleville Lunch, Mammoth Lakes and Death Valley Run; for one, two or three days. Combined run hosted by Ric Samoian and John Reese. Check website for further details.

· December 13, 2008 Christmas Party. Vickie Braithwaite reports the date has been changed due to availability of the Fireman’s Hall. Vickie has been unable to contact the band we used last year. She asks that anyone who has suggestions for a band or DJ to please contact her. Keith Becky will prepare the dinner. Check website for further details.

· NOMINATIONS will be taken at the October meeting and voted on at the November meeting. Need nominations for President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Clothing and Raffle Organizer. Pete Ruff will continue on as Web Master.

Floor Open to Members:

· Will Gilliland as a track volunteer offered to give the 10 cent tour of the following tracks:

Thunderhill, Infinion (Sears Point) or Laguna Seca.
