MEETING MINUTES/SEPTEMBER 8, 2009

 

Call to Order:         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

Minutes:                   Motion made, and seconded to approve the August 11, 2009 minutes.

 

Treasurer:               John Reese reported that revised balance for July was $2,529.99 Balance as of 8/31/09 is  2,587.99

 

Secretary:               No Report, Kathy Reese out sick 

 

Clothing:                  Barbara Collier, e-mail her for any orders.

 

Webmaster:            Pete Ruff, nothing to report.

 

Raffle Organizers:    Patty McCoy & Bob Graham, nothing to report.

 

Club Historian:          Keith Becky reported that he and Richard Collier are owners of Corvette Care and are doing business Monday – Fridays.

 

Old Business:         Crab Shack Lunch in Sacramento – Mary Graham reported 4 cars participated in the lunch.  Good time had by all.

 

                             Bowling Green caravan – No report

 

                             Tom Krakker reported on Zoom Zoom Woof Woof classic care show.  There were a total of 132 cars in attendance with 7 of the cars being from CPCC.

 

 

                            

New Business:     Ice House Run hosted by Bob Naylor. Pete Ruff gave report.  Please email Bob Naylor so he can make reservations at Ice House Resort for lunch.  Meeting place is park and ride at Ponderosa and No. Shingle Rd.  Departure time is 9:00 am.

 

                             Pete added additional event – Oct. 24, 2009 hosted by Mid Year Stingrays.  Chrome Bumper Corvette Corrall II, 53-73 Vettes only.  Information on webstie.

 

 

 

                             BBQ at Lotus Park  hosted by George Goolsby.  No report at this time.

 

                             Show-N-Shine Fly in Cameron Park will be hosted by Tom Krakker.    Meeting place is KFC on Cameron Park Drive b/t 7:00-7:15 a.m.   Need to get there early for good parking spots.

 

                             Jets & Vettes III in Alameda hosted by Skip & Carla Grube.   No report at this time.

 

                             Fall Color Color Run hosted by Peggy Sue Crosswhite.  Peggy will send out email to club with particulars. 

 

                             Crab Shack Dinner in Old Sac.  George Goolsby will host, no report at this time.

 

                             Placerville Christmas Parade will be hosted by George Goolsby. No report at this time.

 

                             Christmas Party –  Barbara Collier and Vickie Braithwaite are looking for volunteers to decorate.  John Reese will help.  Jon & Susan to get decorations to committee. 

 

Floor Open to Members:    Tom Krakker reminded members of the Sept 12th – 37th Annual Wine,  Cheese & Brew car show in El Dorado hills.  Event benefits the El Dorado Hills Fire Dept.   Entry fee for one car is $40 and  you receive 2 tickets for gourmet food, microbrew, wine and a band.  6pm to 11:30pm.
