Call to Order:                    The meeting was called to order at 7.00 by Club

Minutes:                            Motion made, and seconded to approve July 10th, 2007, meeting minutes.

                                   

Treasurer’s Report:          Jim Poe- Started with $3795.64.  Total 50/50 raffle deposit was $76.00. Total expenses were $412.95 With an ending balance of $3458.69.

Clothing:                           Anne Jones – 2 Catalogs are available for anyone interested in ordering clothing.  Name Tags are available for $10.73 each. See Anne for ordering.

July 13th-15th2007:      SOCA Corvette Weekend– (George Goolsby- Bob & Mary Graham) 7 Cars from the club attended this year with 210 cars total. The jet boat ride was outrageous.  

 

 

July 19th-21st, 2007   Vette Fest-(Boise, Id) No one from the club attended this event this year.

  

 

 

July 28th, 2007:          Crusin for Cops-(Gil & Donna Alcarez, Tom Krakker)

                                         There were around 3000 bikes in this event. The motorcycle people headed straight to the beer stands, making This year one of the most phenomenal event between entries and beer sales. It was a successful event for the charity.

J  July   29th 2007             Big Trees Run (George Goolsby-Barbara Rogers, Bob & Mary Graham) We had 23 cars (counting Georges truck) attend this event; George went up first to set up. There was lots of great food, fun and beautiful scenery. We played balls (renamed by Steve) Thank you John & Darla for bringing the game it was fun. Thanks to Bob for getting us there safely, Thank you George for the delicious food and Thank You Barbara for all your help with the organization. Looking forward to it again next year.

August 18th, 2007:        Black Hawk Museum- Danville, Ca (Dan & Laura Groat) Flyers & Signup sheet is available at the meeting. We will meet at The Groats house at 9am and leave at 10am stopping along the way for lunch.

 

August 18th 2007          Hot August Nights –Rescue, Ca (Tom Krakker) This event is hosted by the Rescue Volunteer Fire dept. There will be car show/BBQ/live music & dancing. More information can be found on the events flyer posted on the web.                          

 

  August 24-26, 2007:     Infineon Raceway NASCAR-(Larry Savio) –Nascar road race.  More details to follow.

 

S September 3, 2007:       Annual Labor Day Parade-Diamond Springs - No club       Host at this time. Details as they become available.

 

S September 15th-16th, 2007: McCloud Sunset Dinner Train Ride- McCloud, Ca (Skip & Carla Grube- George Goolsby) A Nostalgic three hour train ride with a four course dinner. Accommodations are available, see web page for more information and telephone numbers for this event. Email George Goolsby if you are interested in attending. So far there are 6 cars from the club that are attending.

 

September 28-29, 2007: Summer End Gathering-All Corvettes. See event flyer

Posted on web page. There will be covered parking available and there is 100 rooms blocked off for this event and rooms are still available.    

 

         

September 29, 2007:      Annual Show & Shine- Cameron Park (Tom Krakker) Car, Airplane, & Motorcycle show. We will meet at KFC in Cameron Park at 7 am. Pre-registration is strongly urged. This event is open to all year cars American & Foreign. 

 

  October, 5-7, 2007:        Mendocino Little River Run-(Clemens & Colliers) – We have 15 rooms booked and 15 cars attending this event. We will leave Friday @ 8.00 and stop in Healdsburg for lunch before continuing on to Little River. Saturday we will have a run to the redwoods and wine tasting. On Sunday dinner at Ft Bragg before we head for home.

 

  October 13-14th, 2007: Markleeville Fall Leaves Run- (George Goolsby-Jack Anderson) – We will meet a Longs Drug on Green Valley road  stopping at Stumpy Meadows for photos then heading to Loon lake for lunch. We will spend the night in Markleeville. See event flyer posted on web page. This is a beautiful run where you can see shadows of mountains and colors of changing leaves. Please call or email Jack Anderson if you have any questions.

 

  October 26th, 2007          MSI/Hooked on Driving Thunderhill Track Day-(Larry Savio) MSI has joined as an event sponsor this year.  More details can be found on the Corvette Forum.

 

  

December 2, 2007:           Placerville Christmas Parade-(George Goolsby) Details as they become available.

 

 

 

December 8, 2007:         Annual CPCC Christmas Party- (Barbara Collier) – Keith Becky will cook for the club at the Christmas party. More details to follow.

                                      FLOOR OPEN TO MEMBERS

 

N New Events/Runs          Carnival Cruise -We have moved the date for the Carnival Cruise to February 26th 2009 instead of Feb 2008. If you plan on going you need to make your reservations early. They are totally refundable up until the final payment due date. Balcony Suites are now $756.14 per person, including all taxes, and a deposit of $300.00 per cabin is required. Ocean view cabins are $446.15 with the same deposit. Please contact Sandi Moore at 209 245-4125 Or Merrilee Doss for more information.

All-American speedway.com you can drive full size race cars on a ¼ mile track reaching speeds up to 70 mph. more details will be sent out and posted on the web page.
