CORVETTE CLUB MEETING MINUTES/JULY 14, 2009 Call to Order: The

Poe reported that the balance in the account is $2,391.99. Secretary: Kathy
Reese, nothing to report. Clothing: Barbara
Collier, e-mail her for any orders. Webmaster: Pete
Ruff, nothing to report. Raffle Organizers: Patty
McCoy & Bob Graham, nothing to report. Club Historian: Keith
Becky, not present. Old Business: Sierra
Vista Bank Show & Shine in Cameron Park had over 90 cars participating. George Goolsby barbequed 200 hamburgers and
they also served 200 hot dogs. There
was a good attendance by both our club members and the general public. Ice
House Run hosted by Bob Naylor had 14 cars.
Lunch was at the Ice House Resort. Corvettes
at Big
Springs Garden Lunch Run hosted by George Goolsby had 13 cars. Nice drive, great lunch on beautiful

of July Annual Picnic at Members
feasted on chicken, tri-tip and hotdogs barbequed by Tom Braithwaite along
with side dishes provided by members.
The park rangers moved us to a secluded area with a retreat house at
no extra charge. It was really nice. 4th
of July Tahoe Fireworks hosted by George Goolsby had 10 cars. Dinner was at the Chart House with the
fireworks show watched in the Lakeside Inn parking lot. The show was good but not as long as last
year. Rockin’
on the Rogue hosted by George Goolsby had 11 cars (2 of them were not club
members who we picked up at the Dunnigan rest stop because they were
attending the President
John Reese thanked the members who hosted the above events and pointed
out that George Goolsby hosted a majority of them. New Business: PDX at Thunderhill – Will Gilliland reported there will be 80
minutes of track time for $120. This
is not a competition or timed event.
Safety crew present. Sacto
Law Enforcement Mem’l Rally - Harlain Dains not present to report. Hooked on Driving
at Thunderhill – Larry Savio not present to report. Coast
Redwood Run to Ice
House Run – Bob Naylor reports this will be the same as the earlier run but
on a Sunday instead of a Saturday. BBQ
at Show-N-Shine
Fly in Cameron Park will be hosted by Tom Krakker. This is a show of planes and cars. Tom says you should pre-register and meet
at the KFC at Crab
Shack Dinner in Old Sac. George will
host this event if people are interested.
More details at a later date. Christmas
party – Barbara Collier or Vickie Braithwaite not present. Floor Open to Members: Rick
Samoian said some of the retired members have lunch runs during the week and
he proposed that those runs be e-mailed to all the members so if they are
available they could enjoy the short runs also. Barbara
Rogers said she wanted members to know that George Goolsby does all his contacting by e-mail
and not by telephone. So if you are
planning to attend an event, be sure you check your e-mails for any updates
or changes. Also
it would be appreciated if you were unable to attend an event after saying
you would to let George know as soon as possible. Bob
Naylor might do an Ice House Run in August so Matt Croswhite can do one last
run before he has to leave for college in Closing: Next
