Call to Order:         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

Minutes:                   Motion made by Jon Svilich and seconded by Patty McCoy to approve the March 9, 2010 minutes.

 

Treasurer:            Peggy Sue Croswhite reported $1,937.41 as the beginning balance with income of $275.00 ($65.00 raffle, $90.00 membership and $120.00 from the St. Patty’s Dinner) and no expenses making our ending balance $2,212.41.

                              

Secretary:               No report 

 

Clothing:                  Barbara Collier brought several different sized club jackets for members to try on before ordering.  The cost to order a jacket will be $61.76 plus an add’l $6.00 if you want to include your name.  Barbara will need a check before she can order the jackets.  She needs at least 6 ordered jackets for this price.

Old Business:       Mar 20th St. Patty’s Day Dinner.  Thirty four club members were able to dine in the Collier’s home to a delicious corn beef and cabbage dinner prepared by George Goolsby.  Thanks go to Dick & Barbara Collier for offering their home and George for preparing the meal.  $120 went to the club’s treasury.

 

                             Mar 21st Daffodil Run hosted by Karen Strachan.  Eight cars went to Daffodil Hill and lunch at the St. George’s.  We lucked out because the following week the hill was closed because of snow. 

 

New Business:     April 17th run to Ironstone Vineyards near Murphy.  Hosted by Jan & Gary Leonard.  See website for details.

                                      

                             April 24th Napa Wine & Poker Run hosted by Tom & Vicki Braithwaite.  The run starts at their house with coffee and donuts, then proceeds to West Sac for the first stop, then heads around Lake Berryessa to V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena for lunch.  Deli foods are available at the winery.

 

                             April 30th – May 2nd Monterey Peninsula overnighter to be hosted by George Goolsby. George is planning to stop in Moss Landing for lunch on the way down.  See more info on website on how to register for this event.

 

                             May 1st Corvette Care Grand Opening, 11386 Sunrise Park Dr in Rancho Cordova.  Keith will be serving tri tip and chicken sandwiches.  There will be prizes, deals & fun. 

 

                             May 22nd Second Annual Abel Chev Car Show in RioVista.  Hosted by Vicki.

 

                             May 23rd Fifth Annual Angels Camp Picnic hosted by Graham’s/Reese’s and Chef Goolsby.  There will be fun, games and raffle prizes.  Please bring a side dish to share, drinks and raffle prizes.  George will be barbecuing hamburgers and hot dogs.  A $5.00 charge per car.

                            

                             May 29th Fallen Warriors Car Show in El Dorado Hills.  Will Gilliland will be showing his Bonneville race car.

 

Floor Open to Members:

 

George Goolsby will be doing a lunch run to Big Springs Garden on June 12th.  He will send out an e-mail and collect the lunch money in advance.
