Treasurer’s Report: Jim Poe -
Received $465.00 in club membership dues and a check for $150.00 was written
to cover the deposit on the room for the Christmas party. The full report was sent to all club
members via email.
Secretary: Shannon Anderson - Nothing to report
Clothing: Anne
Jones - Anne has a shirt that was ordered by Billie, the vendor misspelled
her name, but the shirt was the wrong size.
If you are interested in purchasing the shirt (size medium) it is
$27.00 and Billie would pay for the cost to add your name.
Web Master: Pete Ruff - Some
interesting stats reported as follows:
the club pays approximately $4.00 per month for our website which
offers up to 5,000 megabytes of space, we use 137 megabytes. There is a bandwidth limit for downloads of
250,000 megabytes, we use 446 megabytes.
We have lots more space for movies, pictures, etc…
Club Historian: Keith

history!” If you have hard copy pictures
you would like to include in the club photo albums, give them to Keith.
Meeting Room Stan spoke with the Denny’s
Manager and provided the membership numbers for the past 12 months. The manager said she would have 2 wait
staff members service our group but we are “hard to please”. There was a suggestion to add the tip to
the bill to encourage better service, Denny’s cannot include it in their bill
due to their limitations. Just
remember to tip when you pay your bill.

Barbara Hudgins) – George and Stan are leaving at 8:00 AM at the Bel Air shopping center in Cameron Park, they will pick up
John at Sunrise and US 50. George will
bring sandwiches for everyone and to stop for lunch along the way.

Car Show – Oroville CA – Pete reported that Gil and Donna Alcaraz would like to host this event. The information is on the web. Accommodations are at the Best Value
Inn. The Alcaraz’
checked out the joint and give their approval. It is a nice place with good parking.

Run, Angels Camp (Bob & Mary Graham) – Flyers were distributed at the
meeting. Turn the flyer in to Mary by
the next meeting so she knows how many will be coming for breakfast. She is planning games and prizes. If you would like to donate an item for a
prize, see Mary.

Car Show GVCC – Placerville CA
(Stan Anderson) – This is a classic car show for cars 1972 and
older. Stan will get the flyer to post
on the web.
June 23-25, 2006 Corvettes at Lake Tahoe – Stateline, NV
(John Clemens) – The Clemens were not present to report, however, this
event fills up fast. If you plan on
going, register soon. Accommodations
are at the Horizon Hotel, cost is $110.00.
The registration fee includes a BBQ lunch and dinner.
July 4,
2006 Pleasant Valley 4th of July parade & Club BBQ at Jenkinson Lake (Sly Park, Pollock Pines) (Barbara Collier/George Goolsby)
– Mr Smoker (a.k.a. Keith Becky) will be BBQ’ing the food.
More information will be provided at a later date.
July 7-9, 2006 High Desert Corvettes
Deschutes River Run, Redmond OR (George Goolsby) - Accommodations for this are at the Eagle
Crest Hotel in Redmond. The Lankford’s live in the area and will be
attending. They will offer hospitality
and substantial sandwiches. There are
currently 4 cars attending from the club.
July
21-22, 2006 All Corvette
Gathering, Reno NV – George will host this event.
August 5-7, 2006 Mammoth Run, Mammoth, CA (John
& Kathy Reese) – This will be a 2 or three day run, your choice. The 3-day run would include a trip to Yosemite.
August
19, 2006 BBQ & Pot luck at the Braithwaite’s
House – Vicki was not present to report.
August 25-26, 2006 Overnight Run – Mendocino, CA (Barbara
Collier) – Barbara has reserved 8-10 rooms currently for this event. The rooms have an ocean view. This is a great event to attend if you want
to kick back and party.
Sept.
14-16, 2006 The Sunday
Funnies Past & Present, 38th Annual Tahoe Tour, Corvettes of Fresno at Tahoe – Keith and Dawn Becky will
host this event. The link for
information is on the CPCC web. Keith and Dawn will get more information on
accommodations as they have moved hotels.
Clubs host hospitality rooms with themes. There are clubs from all over the country
that attend this. We can choose to
host a hospitality room or keep it private for club members only.
October
5-8, 2006 Corvette
Roulette, Las
Vegas CA – Las Vegas Corvettes – No club host for this
event. The flyer is on the web.
October 2006 Annual Show &
Shine/Fly-In at Cameron Park Airpark, CA – (Phil Slack) – Slacks not
present to report, more information at a later date.

9, 2006 Annual CPCC
Christmas Party (Barbara Rogers, George Goolsby, Shaylynne Slack, Keith Becky) -
There will be a meeting in the next few weeks for preliminary planning. All committee members will receive an email
invitation. George will serve finger
food. Dana and Anne reported on the
band that they heard at a wine tasting event.
The band charges $700. and requires 50% up
front. If we want to use the band we
need to book them in March or they will not hold the date. We paid $500 for the DJ last year.
FLOOR OPEN TO MEMBERS
New Events/runs: Jim Davis reported that Family
Chevrolet sponsored the club in the amount of $300 last year. Nick Cotenas at
family Chevrolet is planning a Tri-tip BBQ (no date yet), this year the
Corvettes will get the up front area.
Stan will speak with Nick about sponsorship, donation of service
certificates, etc… and look into the possibility of using their meeting room
for the club meetings.
