                                                            MEETING MINUTES/MARCH 9, 2010

 

Call to Order:         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

                                    John thanked Karen Strachan for the delicious homemade cookies she brought to share with everyone.

Minutes:                   Motion made by Jon Svilich and seconded by Rick Samoian to approve the February 9, 2010 minutes.

 

Treasurer:            Peggy Sue Croswhite reported $1728.41 as the beginning balance with income of $209.00 and no expenses making our ending balance $1,937.41.

                              

Secretary:               No report  

 

Clothing:                  Barbara Collier is checking out an embroidery place in Shingle Springs.  John Reese reported he is still trying to obtain the prices of the catalog items to include the cost of the embroidery.

 

Webmaster:            Pete posted pictures of last run.

 

Raffle Organizers:            No report

 

Club Historian:      Not present

 

                                   

Old Business:       Feb 27th Cameron Park Firefighters Crab Feed hosted by George Goolsby.  17 members attended and had a great time.

 

                             Mar 7th lunch run to Greenhorn Creek Golf Course near Angels Camp.  Host Rick Samoian reported we had 7 vettes and I jeep.  The restaurant set us up in a separate room and everyone enjoyed a great meal.

 

New Business:     Mar 20th St. Patty’s Day dinner at the Collier’s.  George will be preparing corn beef and cabbage with potatoes.  So far 36 people have signed up.  Please let George know as soon as possible if you are planning to attend.  There will be a charge of $7.50 per person with any funds unused to go to the club treasury.  Money will be collected at the dinner.  Bring your own drinks.  Dinner is to be served at 6:00.  Please arrive between 5:30 – 5:45.

 

                             Mar 21st Daffodil Run hosted by Karen Strachan.  Date from Mar 14th changed because the place was not open yet.  Contact Karen if you are planning to attend.

 

                             April 10th run to Ironstone Vineyards near Murphy.  Hosted by Jan & Gary Leonard.  Meet at Pokerville Market in Plymouth.  Plan to leave at 9:30.

                                      

                             April 24th Napa Wine & Poker Run hosted by Tom & Vicki Braithwaite.  Starting the run at their house with a continental breakfast and then proceeding to West Sac for the first stop, then heading around Lake Berryessa to v. Sattui Winery in St. Helena for lunch.  Vicki will be sending out an e-mail in April with the latest info.

 

                             April 30th Monterey Peninsula overnighter to be hosted by George Goolsby.

                             George is planning to stop in Moss Landing for lunch on the way down.  See more info on website on how to register for this event.

 

Floor Open to Members:

 

                             Donna Naylor cancelled her May 8th event.

 

Will Gilliland reported on the Fallen Warriors car show with his car on display.  Please see the website for all the details.

 

Mike Nieri reported that Hot August Nights is planning a car show in S. Lake Tahoe at Harrah’s or Horizon from July 30th to August 1st.

 

Bob Naylor is planning an Ice House Run on a Sunday when time is available.  He will send out an e-mail.

 

George Goolsby has been notified that Big Springs Garden is reopening.  He is planning an event there on June 12th.  He will send out an e-mail.
