MEETING MINUTES/FEBUARY 10, 2009

 

 

Call to Order:               The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

                                    He thanked Vickie and Tom Braithwaite for holding the Annual Planning meeting  and George Goolsby for arranging the food.  Also all the members who attended.

Minutes:                       Motion made, and seconded to approve the January 2009 minutes.

 

Treasurer:                    Jim Poe reported that the balance in the account is $897.88

 

Secretary:                    Nothing to report.

 

Clothing:                      Barbara Collier not present.

 

Webmaster:                 Nothing to report.

 

Historian:                     Nothing to report.

 

Old Business:               Annual planning meeting hosted by  Vickie and Tom Braithwaite.  George Goolsby reported about 25 members attended the meeting.  All the new events are on the club’s web page.

                                   

                                    Sonoma HGTV home tour:  Ron Niemi reported 5 cars went on the event.

 

New Business:             Events Coordinator & Vice President:  George Goolsby

Crab Feed by CPVFFA on Feb 28th will be hosted by George Goolsby.

Daffodil Hill  Run on March 15th will be hosted by George Goolsby.  This run will be cancelled if it rains or the flowers are not in bloom.  Lunch at the St. George’s.

Mammoth/Death Valley trip on April 4, 5 & 6 will be hosted by John Reese & Rick Samoian.  This run has 3 different stages.  Lunch in Markleeville, overnite in Mammoth and then on to Death Valley with a returning overnite in Bishop.

Monterrey Bay overniter on April 18-19.  Mike Neri will have more information at the next meeting.

Napa Poker Run to be held on April 25th.  To be hosted by the Braithwaite’s.

Loomis Iris Farm to be held on May 3rd and hosted by the Naylor’s.

Angels Camp Picnic to be held on Sunday, May17th.  Hosted by John & Kathy Reese and George Goolsby.  There will be raffle prizes, games and bar-b-que.  We will need donations for the raffle prizes.

Ice House Run to be held on June 13th and hosted by the Naylors.

Club Picnic at Sly Park  on July 4th. Hosted by Barbara Collier.

S Lake Tahoe Firewords Show  on July 4th.  Hosted by George Goolsby.  Staying overnite at the Lakeside Inn, South Lake Tahoe and dinner at the Chart House.

Rockin on the Rogue on July 10-12th. Hosted by George Goolsby.  If the hotel is booked, try the Redwood Motel. If you are planning on going to this event you better make arrangements now.

Sept 3-5 Bowling Green, KY – Hosted by John Reese.

 

Floor Open to Members:          Peggy Sue Croswhite wanted to thank Ron & Sherry Niemi for arranging the Sonoma HGTV run.  It was their first run with the club and they had a great time.

                                                Ron Niemi said he is trying to make arrangements for the club to do a tour of TV station KCRA.
