MEETING MINUTES/JANUARY 13, 2009

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

He wished everyone a Happy New Year and thanked the Christmas Party Committee for all their hard work.

Minutes: Motion made, and seconded to approve the November 2008 minutes.

Treasurer: Jim Poe reported that the balance in the account is $670.98

Secretary: Nothing to report.

Clothing: Barbara Collier not present.

Webmaster: Nothing to report.

Historian: Keith Becky not present.

Old Business:

Dec 6,2008 – Nor Cal Toy Run – George Goolsby reported about 5 cars were on the toy run. He won the $150.00 raffle.

Dec 7,2008 – Placerville Christmas Parade – George Goolsby reported it was an awesome parade with 15 corvettes (12 club cars and 3 guest cars).

Dec 13, 2008 – Christmas Party – Chairman Vickie Braithwaite said everyone had a good time. The food prepared by Keith Becky was great and the band Catalyst was enjoyed by most. She wanted to thank the decorating committee and the club members who provided the raffle prizes, especially the Brusbys, who donated a whole case of wine.

New Business: Events Coordinator – VP, George Goolsby

With the low amount of money in the treasury we might have to in the future discuss ways to raise additional funds.

Jan 25th - Annual planning meeting hosted by Vicki Braithwaite. The meeting will be held at Vickie’s house at 11:30. Everyone is invited to come and help plan the outings for this year. We need everyone’s ideas. Food will be served. George will send out an e-mail to everyone with further details.

March 1^st – Mexican Riviera 7 day cruise hosted by John & Kathy Reese.

May 7-11 – Annual Las Vegas Convention – No Host

June 28^th – All Corvettes Gathering in Auburn – Hosted by Bob & Donna Naylor.

July 4^th – Club Picnic at Sly Park – Hosted by Barbara Collier.

July 4^th – After picnic leave for fireworks at Tahoe – Hosted by George Goolsby. Staying overnite at the Lakeside Inn, South Lake Tahoe.

July 10-12^th – Rockin on the Rogue – Hosted by George Goolsby. If the hotel is booked, try getting one of the extra rooms John Reese has reserved.

Sept 3-5 Bowling Green, KY – Hosted by John Reese.
